All students in the MSMS orchestra and the MHS band and orchestra have been working with composer Erik Nielsen and Ally Tarwater to compose original pieces of music. A selection of the work has been selected to be performed on this date. MHS students will play compositions by MSMS students, and work by MHS students will be played by an ensemble of professional musicians. Erik has been teaching composition with the Montpelier music program for over 12 years! Past students have had their pieces played by the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Vermont Philharmonic Orchestra, TURN-Music, and the Vermont All State Orchestra and Chorus.
