Montpelier Fall Festival

October 4 was bright and warm, which brought out quite a lot of people of all ages to the 2025 Fall Festival. There were lines to get face paint, and to give a try at dunking teachers and principals. Countless athletes of all ages ran in the 1-Mile Nathan Suter Memorial Fun Run. There were dozens of costumes to swap, compare and show off; amazing talent was showcased on the Main Stage, and hundreds of raffle tickets sold to win wonderful local prizes. And much of the production was spearheaded by a team of high school students!

MRPS PIE is extremely grateful for the participation of students, staff, families, volunteers, performers and the contributions of our many sponsors. It was a terrific day! It’s not too late to donate - you can still make a (tax-deductible) pledge HERE.

Run by volunteers and fueled by community, the Montpelier Fall Festival has raised over $90,000 to support local public schools' many initiatives through the efforts of PIE. In 2026, we will be celebrating our 10th YEAR! Want to get involved? Please reach out to help plan the Festival next year: festival@mrpspie.org

Who is PIE?

PIE works with the parent/caregiver groups for each of the district schools and the school staff to identify areas of need that are outside of the school budget. We connect with local organizations and community members, raise funds from individuals and businesses, and host events like the annual Montpelier Fall Festival, staff appreciation events and charitable giving.

Current Projects

“Food as the Foundation”

At the heart of the Food as the Foundation Project is The Garden Collective – a collaboration with the MSMS Sustain Program. We are connecting local gardeners, farmers, and volunteers in a program that expands student opportunities to participate in our local food system. Food is grown on the school grounds, in private local gardens, and in city spaces. Fresh food is prepared at MSMS and distributed to the community through Just Basics Food Pantry and Roxbury’s Food Shelf. To find out more, join our email list!

Get Involved

Volunteers are critical to the success of our organization. They come in all varieties from serving on a Board, technical assistance, event management and supporting an event. Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to get involved! To get involved or find out more, email director@mrpspie.org
